Swaying, like an ark on fire.
a-teeter, like ants, drinking honey at the fair
Asleep, as if nobody saw you touching the woman, you refused to have for wife.
Moaning, because the dna of ancient things begs for an answer you can’t drink enough to explain
awake, yet hoping, to dream beyond those things you’ve done
and can’t stop doing.
gnawing your own equilibrium
because you are smart
and everyone else is wiser than you.
