Cognitive Resonance

i look at every creature and ask what are you telling me?

sometimes the flapper looks at me and says get going, what are you waiting for.

once my dog imaged back to me the way we run from what frightens us and only live for the bowl of food in front of our face.

today, the river rat says what are you complaining about, some critters have it a bit harsher than you.

There isn’t a lick in the world that can’t hide and scold and teach the jaded skin right off of me.

If you paint for me even one thing which is true, perhaps I’ll be tempted to consider two. I tell tales poetically, someone else needs to set them to music.
