50 Forest Deep

Because it’s Beautiful

not once did the forest despise its traveler
with dry leaf for crunchfeet, it laughed whenever it was entered
days when children were unafraid to play …
it hung necklaces around their heads … and entered in

much dies in its midst … most every year
but so much more … peeks through its lichen…
